Payment methods

Your buyers can pay by QRIS or Virtual Account, and you choose which of them are offered.

Whatever the method, the transaction turns Paid in your dashboard and the money joins your balance. Only how the buyer pays, and what they fill in, differs.

Each method and its rules

QRISThe buyer scans the QR code with any bank or e-wallet app that supports QRIS. Nothing about the buyer is needed.
Virtual AccountThe buyer picks a bank on the payment page and transfers to the account number shown. Banks: BCA, BRI, BNI, Mandiri, Permata, CIMB Niaga, Danamon, Maybank. The buyer's name is required, because their bank shows it on the transfer screen.
E-wallet (OVO, DANA, ShopeePay)Not available yet as a separate method. Buyers can still pay from an e-wallet app by scanning QRIS.
How long a payment stays openThe same for every method: 60 minutes from when the payment is created. A developer can set up to 24 hours per payment through the API. After that the payment turns Expired and the page no longer takes payment.
When you see PaidOnce our payment partner confirms the money arrived, not when the buyer taps a button. Usually right away. If no confirmation comes, our system asks again by itself every 30 seconds. For a Virtual Account the timing also depends on the buyer's bank.
Amount per paymentFrom Rp1,000 for QRIS and Rp10,000 for Virtual Account, up to Rp10,000,000, checked per method. When the buyer carries the fee, the total including the fee is what is checked.

As of 15 September 2026.

Switching methods on or off

  1. In the dashboard, open Settings → Payment methods. Only the owner can change it. Other roles see the page with the switches disabled.
  2. Under “Methods your buyers are offered”, switch QRIS and Bank Transfer (VA) on or off. Bank Transfer (VA) is one switch for every bank, and the buyer picks the bank on the payment page.
  3. Press Save. At least one method has to stay on. The change applies to payments created after it. A payment page a buyer already has open keeps the methods it opened with.
  4. The buyer opens the payment page and sees the methods that are on and fit the amount. With only one, the page goes straight to it.
  5. Once the payment is confirmed, the transaction shows Paid on the Transactions page.

Why a method can be unavailable

  • You switched it off. Switch it back on and save.
  • Kasera Pay switched it off for a while, for example when one bank's rail has trouble. You cannot switch it on yourself. Your own setting is kept, and the method comes back when it is live again. A buyer already holding a Virtual Account number can still pay it.
  • The amount is outside that method's limits. The payment page only offers the methods the amount fits. If none fit, the payment cannot be created.
  • It is not enabled on your account. Email halo@kasera.id.

Common questions

Should I use QRIS or Virtual Account?
It depends mostly on the amount. QRIS is cheaper on small payments and a Virtual Account on large ones, and a buyer paying from a computer usually finds a Virtual Account easier. The full comparison is in the guide QRIS or Virtual Account.
Why hasn't the status changed after the buyer paid?
Wait a moment before acting. If the confirmation does not arrive, our system asks again every 30 seconds, and a Virtual Account transfer can take longer depending on the bank. A payment made right at the end of its time can still turn Paid after it shows Expired. Hand over the goods only once the transaction shows Paid, not on a screenshot. If it stays Waiting or Expired, email halo@kasera.id with the transaction ID and the buyer's proof of payment.
Can I offer only some Virtual Account banks?
Not from the settings page, because Bank Transfer (VA) switches every bank together. A developer can narrow the banks per payment through the API, described in the payment methods API reference.
